Justin Duty scores Lucas Oil Top-10 in Spring Shootout at FALS
Navigating through wet weather all week, Justin Duty kicked off Illinois Speedweek with FloRacing Night in America on Wednesday evening at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) with a $20,000-to-win show after losing the series opener at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway on Tuesday evening.
Finishing eight in his heat race, Duty was unable to find his way to a transfer spot in the B-Main and did not make the $20,000-to-win show. The Thursday night event at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway was washed out after rain showers hit the facility during heat races.
Justin then went to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday for the Spring Shootout after the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series weekend opener at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway was also lost to Mother Nature. Duty picked up a win in his B-Main and then drove forward in the 50-lap, $30,000-to-win feature to round out the Top-10 in 10th.
