Justin Duty posts top-5 result in Brownstown 100
Double Duty Motorsports driver Justin Duty visited the Brownstown (Illinois) Bullring with the MARS Late Model Championship on Friday night. He grabbed a top-five finish in the event and maintained fifth position in the point standings.
Thirty MARS Late Model teams were in the pit area at the quarter-mile track, where a $10,000 winner's share was on the line. Duty qualified his Roberts Bee Company No. 15 Super Late Model with the 13th quickest time to kick off his evening. He went on to start fifth and finish fourth in his heat race, putting him 10th on the grid to begin the 50-lap feature.
Duty climbed five positions in the main event and finished in the fifth spot behind Tanner English, Jason Feger, Dennis Erb Jr. and Shannon Babb.
Saturday’s scheduled MARS event, the Illinois State Championship at Peoria (Illinois) Speedway, was washed out.
