Making a last-minute decision, Double Duty Motorsports pilot Justin Duty trekked to West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, W.Va.) on Friday afternoon to compete in a doubleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). (Heath Lawson photo)

Drawing 31 cars for the preliminary event leading up to Saturday’s E3 Spark Plugs Historic 100, Duty recorded a seventh-place finish in his heat, relegating him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Transferring the top-six, Just came one spot short with a seventh-place outing.

On Saturday, Justin followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a second-place finish in his B-Main. Starting the $50,000-to-win Historic 100 in 22nd, Duty was an early retiree from the 50-lapper on lap 25.
